Terms of Use

Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Broccoli app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Not medical advice
Broccoli provides general food guidance based on the information you enter and publicly available product data. It is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Always read product packaging yourself, especially if you have allergies, and consult a qualified professional for health decisions. Do not use Broccoli as a replacement for medical care or as a tool for managing an eating disorder.
Accuracy
Product information may come from third party databases, from photos you take, or from estimates produced by an AI model. It can be incomplete or wrong, and an ingredient list read from a photo can miss an allergen. Broccoli tells you when it is estimating or missing information, but you remain responsible for your choices.
Motivation styles
The “Rude” motivation style is an intentionally blunt, humorous mode that you must opt into. It only changes wording, never the recommendation, and never applies to allergy or health warnings. You can switch styles at any time in Profile.
Your account
You must provide a valid email address you control, or sign in with your Apple Account. Keep sign in codes to yourself. You must be at least 13 years old to use Broccoli. You may delete your account at any time from the app.
Fair use
Every scan is analysed by an AI model, which costs us money. Accounts have a daily scan allowance, shown in the app when it is reached; it resets at midnight in your time zone. Do not use Broccoli to harm others, reverse engineer the service, or overload it with automated requests.
Early access
Broccoli is in early access. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued. We provide it “as is” and, to the extent permitted by law, disclaim warranties and limit our liability to the amount you paid us in the last twelve months.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app.
